AIR POLLUTION CONTROL

Wet Scrubber

Optimizing contact between scrubbing liquid and contaminated gas to treat dust and gaseous substances together.

WET SCRUBBER SYSTEM

Bringing contaminated gas into contact with scrubbing liquid
to treat dust and hazardous gas together.

A wet scrubber directly contacts contaminated gas with water or a chemical solution to remove dust and water-soluble gaseous substances. Using a scrubbing liquid matched to the target substance allows complex pollutants to be treated in a single process.

Treatment efficiency depends on the gas-liquid contact area, circulating water condition, chemical concentration, and gas-to-liquid ratio. Changjo Eng analyzes airflow and pollutant characteristics to design the contact method and circulation system.

PROCESS FLOW

Treatment Process

Pre- and post-treatment stages are combined to fit each site's conditions.
01

Contaminated Gas Inflow

Process gas containing dust and gaseous pollutants is captured.

02

Scrubbing Liquid Spray

A scrubbing liquid suited to the target substance is sprayed evenly.

03

Gas-Liquid Contact

Contact between gas and liquid is maximized in the packing bed or spray zone.

04

Mist Separation & Discharge

Droplets are removed from the treated gas before it is safely discharged.

GAS-LIQUID CONTACT

Balancing contact efficiency and circulating water management

We design the flow velocity, packing bed, and nozzle layout so gas and scrubbing liquid make sufficient contact. At the same time, we manage the circulating water's concentration, pH, and sludge condition to prevent reduced treatment efficiency and nozzle clogging.

  • Scrubbing Liquid SelectionA liquid matched to the pollutant's solubility and reactivity
  • Gas-to-Liquid Ratio DesignOperating conditions that balance treatment efficiency and circulating water volume
  • Mist EliminationA separation structure that keeps scrubbing liquid from carrying downstream
  • Circulating Water ManagementA management system that monitors pH, concentration, and sludge

DESIGN POINT

Raising both treatment efficiency and operability together.

Combined Treatment

Dust and water-soluble gaseous pollutants can be treated in a single facility.

Chemical Control

Chemical dosing and circulating water conditions can be adjusted to match the pollutant load.

Corrosion Response

Corrosion-resistant materials for the body and piping are selected based on scrubbing liquid and gas characteristics.
